The Bishop of Nyahururu Diocese, Rev. Bishop Joseph Mbatia, visited St. Martin CSA and celebrated mass together with staff, management board members and the children from our Rehabilitation Centres. He thanked the organisation for the continuous and invaluable services provided to the communities in and around Nyahururu and encouraged us to continue being a beacon of hope to the vulnerable people. He especially thanked the outgoing director, Fr. Mariano Dal Ponte, for his dedication and commitment during all the years he was here, and welcomed the incoming director, Irene Wamithi, and congratulated her for her new role. The bishop also confirmed his support to St. Martin CSA by becoming himself a trustee of the organisation. He also appointed Rev. Fr. Alois Njenga, Fr. In charge Nyahururu Cathedral Parish, to take lead in the pastoral needs of St. Martin CSA.
Later he officially opened the new counselling rooms and planted a tree to commemorate the work done by St Martin CSA and the volunteers for the past 20 years. He had a moment with the children at St. Rose Rescue Centre for Girls where they shared a meal.
Once again, we are very grateful for the beautiful day with the bishop!
